Past Projects

This project featured a meat processing machine at Hormel Foods with servo-driven linear actuators. This was a very problematic design with regular breakdowns. The warm servo motors operating in a cold environment would collect condensate inside their housing and fail. Adept Control suggested replacing them with a more robust solution.

The servo drives, motors, and linear actuators were replaced with an ethernet solenoid block and pneumatic cylinders.

Design, parts requisition, and programming were done before the machine was taken offline resulting in only two days of down time for full installation and testing.
